OmOm Story
Back in 1994 me, my family went to Bali for a surf trip. The surf was so good and the life so relaxing that we decided to go back again the year after. After a couple of times of going back and forth, we decided to start a new job to live longer in that beautiful land escaping the Big City where we were from. We liked to surf, to relax under a tree and watch people surfing but wanted to wear something different, not the usual brands. Because of that need, the first OmOm t-shirt was born with the writing "Longboarding Saved My Life" on front and old image of a Wahine surfing on the back. Since then, we try to keep our spirit alive just like the beginning of our journey into this crazy world of clothing. Just a few years after we launched the other brand "Smoove". After more than a decade here we are making all our dreams come true for us and you too.

Mission:
OmOm Apparel has been developed to meet the needs of all the soul surfers all over the world, giving them the best gear for riding a better wave or for a walk into the fields of mind with a good friend. We use the best fabrics, prints, applications, embroidering and accessories to give a better look to each item. We named our lines of clothing "OmOm" - dedicated to all the lovers of the art of longboarding and  "Smoove" a little bit more in the fashion for your relaxing time after your session.

OmOm Music has been developed to meet the needs and performance expectations of people who are serious about surfin' in both music and real life. We use the finest musicians on the planet as well as the best photographers, illustrators and art designers out there. The results are records that not only improve your feeling for the music, but sound great, look good and are extremely pleasant to listen to. Enjoy.

Staff
Roberto Ruggeri
soul surfer in his 50s (oh God... already so old!), musician, journalist, architect. He started the art of longboarding at the end of the 70s when he was living in Uruguay. Since then, he's got involved more and more into it.  Run a music mag for 15 years and at the same time collaborated with a couple of music majors as consultant for the back catalog in limited series and special packaging, when he decided to move to Indonesia with his family. He lives in Bali still sharing great waves with his long-time friends and son, relaxing  under a tree with a good book, fishing with local people or playing strong rock blues with his indo band. He still believes in freedom, freedom of speech and culture. He thinks that Schopenhauer was one of the best modern thinkers and that despite of what people usually think, he loved happiness. He still sometimes believes in flying donkeys, not to go too far from his childhood. He prefers to understand other people cultures than impose his own. No Logo, Surf Aid International, Adbusters and more are just a few of the companies he believes in and their banners appear in the web.

Mattia Ruggeri
23 years old means still much to learn but yet not a bad knowledge. Been surfing as a soul rider for 10 years. He used to ride a shortboard, then, after few tries, his father got him on the longboard and now he doesn’t ride anything smaller than a 9'6. Right now he's working at the OmOm company as a graphic designer also working to get his second album out. At the age of four, his favorite song was Johnny B. Goode. He believes that the best is still yet to come.
